Development of Marketing Models for FFLGs
From 8th to 11th June 2025 10 staffs of the ESFROMA Implementing Organizations (GLOFA, URDT, CK, TOAM) converged at les Foyer de Charite Centre for Spiritual retreats at Namugongo, Kampala, for consultative engagements on developing the ESFROMA Marketing Model, Strategy, and Action Plan. The process was organized by KOFLEC and the consultations led by Mr. Chariton Namuwoza, the CEO, NOGAMU. The Marketing Model, Strategy, and Action Plan is meant to replace the ESFROMA draft marketing strategy which has been in place for a while. Read more...
FFLG exhibition at Kyegegwa Town
On the 6th of June 2025 KOFLEC hosted an exhibition at Kyegegwa Town to showcase to stakeholders the much acclaimed Farmer-Family Learning (FFLG) approach. This approach has been developed and tested in different contexts and has proven to be beneficial in different ways. Some of the districts where it has been tested and is being integrated into the government extension system include Kasese, Kitagwenda, Kagadi and Wakiso in Uganda and; Chamwino and Zanzibar in Tanzania. Exchange Learning Visit, Zanzibar
Each year, within the ESFROMA partnership, KOFLEC organizes an international exchange learning visit which is hosted in either Tanzania, Zanzibar or Uganda by an implementing organization or jointly by a group of implementing organizations. Previous international learning visits were hosted in Uganda jointly by Caritas Kampala, URDT, and GLOFA in 2021 and 2023; and in Dodoma Tanzania by TOAM in 2022. It was the first time for UWAMWIMA to host the international exchange learning visit in Zanzibar. The 2024 visit was comprised of 4 teams of master facilitators and staff of the Implementing Organizations of the ESFROMA program – GLOFA, URDT, CK, TOAM, and UWAMWIMA. Read more...
Midterm Review in the RIWAH Project
The Midterm review was organized by Kilimo organic farmer Learning Centre (KOFLEC) with support from Organic Denmark (OD) to evaluate the performance of the RIWAH project; Right to Water Access for affordable Rain Water Harvesting Technologies (RIWAH) project that started on 1st of August 2024 with funding from Organic Denmark.
ESFROMA Uganda Team completes four day training in Kobo Tool for M&E
Three water harvesting officers, Nine Master facilitators and Three program managers have been re-tooled in Kobo tool for data collection. This adds to the already highly appreciated M&E system for the ESFROMA which has been used as good case story by international organisations to inspire better participatory M&E.
